Description
MONOCRYL™ Plus Suture, Undyed, Size 5-0, 18", with PC-1 needle, is a synthetic absorbable monofilament suture composed of poliglecaprone 25 and coated with the antibacterial agent Irgacare® Mp (triclosan). It is specifically engineered to reduce the risk of bacterial colonization on the suture surface, making it a preferred choice for procedures performed in contaminated or infection-prone environments.
MONOCRYL™ Plus offers excellent pliability and smooth passage through tissues due to its monofilament design. Its undyed composition allows for reduced visibility under the skin, making it appropriate for cosmetic closures. The suture causes minimal tissue reaction, contributing to patient comfort and optimal healing outcomes.
The PC-1 needle is a precision point, 3/8 circle reverse cutting needle, ideal for delicate closures requiring fine control and minimal trauma. MONOCRYL™ Plus is widely used in subcuticular skin closures, general soft tissue approximation, and plastic or reconstructive surgeries.
